Grief, Gratitude and Empowerment: a ‘Work that Reconnects’ event

April 4, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

In the face of overwhelming social and climate crisis, Joanna Macy’s ‘Work That Reconnects’ helps us transform despair, loss and anger into constructive, collaborative action.

This workshop is now being run online using Zoom and this is link to the meeting (info about using Zoom is below)
https://zoom.us/j/959420846

This workshop will be based on Joanna Macy’s ‘Work That Reconnects’ but also will act as an opportunity for people to connect and share.

For anyone who wants to connect with and explore the sometimes deep feelings that can be associated with awareness of the climate emergency and our work as activists. The workshop is based on Joanna Macy’s Active Hope Spiral and provides a safe, structured environment in which you will be supported in reflecting on your experience and moving from an emphasis on gratitude to a renewed sense of hope. Most importantly, we do this together.

The workshop will be led by experienced group facilitators Jeannie Thompson and Ian Coleman and provides an opportunity for those who have already participated in the introductory, Doing Hope workshop to further deepen their experience. The Doing Hope workshop is not a pre-requisite however.

The workshop will help you to find a new way to see through a lens of hope and to go out into the world renewed and deeply aware of your connection to all life.
