Die-in for Divestment at the Pensions Fund Meeting

#WeWantToLive! Join us this Thursday, 10am at Nottingham County Hall to tell the Council it’s long past time to divest the Nottinghamshire Pensions Fund of fossil fuels.
The Pension Fund committee is meeting this Thursday – their first meeting since failing to pass a motion to investigate divestment from fossil fuel extraction and other funds.
Fossil fuels are killing our planet and our future – and with companies’ poor market performance, investing in them doesn’t even make economic sense.
On Thursday 10am we will be telling the committee this loud and clear. Dressed in black, we will act a symbolic death scene at the main entrance to County Hall. Signs across our chests will show the many deaths that will result from the climate crisis: drowning, starvation, heat shock, crop failure and injustice.
