Burning Ballroom – Street Action

Come and help with a performance action called the Burning Ballroom!

June 28th 11am – 1pm
Meet at the Robin Hood Statue for a practice.
There are four roles which require people to stand still.
10-20 ‘dancers’ – no experience or skill necessary!!

The most important thing is for everyone to wear plain black clothing.

Additional people can help talk to the public and hand out flyers.

Spare a couple of hours and join us as we take this impactful, enjoyable street action out around the City Centre.

Some keen rebel volunteers have been working hard on new banners to hold around the edge of the ‘ballroom’, we have a new PA to amplify the music. So this is going to look and sound fabulous! Don’t miss out.

There’s still a climate emergency and it’s time to get that message back out there.

This is an easy way to get involved in a bit of ‘creative disruption’. It’s really effective at getting people’s attention and opening up conversations. Here’s a video from when we took this action to London (filmed on Horse Guards Parade and Trafalgar Square).
