Poetry open mic night

Manjit from Poets Against Racism and Jeannie from XR Nottingham’s ‘Alliances team’ will be compering an open mic event for poems, speeches, prose and music.

Benjamin Zephaniah was a writer, activist, musician and a professor of poetry from Birmingham. He wrote about many issues including racism, injustice, poverty and also the climate and nature crisis.

Listen to some of his words – a poem of a future vision for the planet.
