DESCRIPTION:On Saturday 18th March\, it will only be 5 weeks until a big group of Nottingham Rebels will head to London for The Big One! \nBefore we do this\, we invite everyone to come together\, in action\, in connection and in support of each other. This simple and inclusive action is designed to galvanise our group\, creating the feeling of unity which we want to bring to Parliament in April. It will be calm\, peaceful and non-disruptive. \nAll you need to do is turn up – we’ll have placards\, flags and banners. It won’t be long; the action will be done and dusted in an hour and then we will go and hang out together somewhere warm! \nOutline timings \n\n10.45 onwards: assemble at the Left Lion in Old Market Square.\n11am: participant briefing (please ensure you are on time for this\, we won’t be hanging around).\nMidday: action ends\, followed by immediate debrief.\n12.20pm: head to the Tiger Community hub for warm food\, cake and chat.\n\nKeep your eyes peeled for placard making opportunities in the preceding weeks – this will be a fun way of connecting too🎨

SUMMARY:XR Nottingham + Light Night
DESCRIPTION:Tiger Community Hub are planning a contribution to Nottingham’s famous ‘Light Night’ with a display of a fire-breathing dragon\, lanterns and a large neon hourglass held aloft on an iconic XR tensegrity Beacon (the design which won a Stirling prize for architecture). \nThis is a fantastic outreach opportunity and a chance to bring people into our 100 Days campaign. We will have an outreach station happening\, so please come along if you’re willing to do some outreach\, sign people up and help run the stall. \nThere is a call for a volunteers to raise the beacon at the beginning of each night (5:30pm) and to take it down at the end (9pm) of each night. \nEveryone is invited to come to the Tiger Hub whenever it’s open to make lanterns in whatever design they choose. And they are asking for people to bring jam jars for the lanterns. \nThis will be a beautiful event which will bring us closer to the public and give us a chance to have those mobilising conversations. \n🏮🕯🔦 🌏💚
