DESCRIPTION:In a world where the rich and powerful add fuel to the fire\, it’s up to all of us to rise and say\, “We won’t pay for their profits\, and we won’t pay for their crisis.” \nJoin the global day of action on December 9th from 11am-1pm at Trinity Square\, in solidarity with the Global South during COP28 UN climate talks in UAE. \nXR Nottingham is going to bring its music\, colour and creative energy to the event. \n🏔 From 10.45am @ Trinity Square \n🏔Unfortunately\, we have to change our plans: The Coalition’s licence agreement for the space with the Council rule out any music\, we have to respect that as this is a Coalition event. So we can’t do the Burning Ballroom. The weather isn’t looking good either. \n🏔Instead\, we will do something shorter for which we need about a dozen people to hold the banners and twirl umbrellas which will spell out “COP OUT 28.” Please come at 10:45 for a quick briefing on that. \n🏔If you can volunteer for outreach\, we still need you\, please come at 10:45 to help set up. \n🏔If you can volunteer as a steward\, you are still needed. Please come at 10:45 and ask for Zbyszek. \n🏔If can volunteer for the Tiger shift\, please get there for noon. \n🏔We’re excited to see as many as possible of you on Saturday!
