Full Moon Fire will be lit outside after indoor meditation ceremony. Those who want to can join us under the moonlight, sharing songs, poems, blessings, or remain inside. We will have a minutes silence on each hour until the gathering closes, sending good energy in line with our intentions for the evening as noted above.
In full moonlight we meet our reflection. It’s illumination calls us to a deeper conversation with what gives us and all beings life, to make choices in service of this. We meet at a time of composting darkness, close to the stillness of Winter Solstice, the frenetic consumer xmas culture, campaign circus, Brexit and colossal climate chaos are counter energies and are exposed under the full moon . Courage is required to act outside of the circus. An emergency pause for conscious choices, especially how we use our one vote for our one planet.
The clear guidance is mirrored in nature right now . A need in the darkest time to create sacred conditions for the germination of whatever is to come, known and unknown. Our seed needs this dark time. We are required to fully open our senses, especially our ears to the urgent calls around us. This can be ‘heard’ in; The cries of our soil – To be fully human is to acknowledge the robustness of the root of our birthright to keep us and all species alive; Human= ‘humus’= ‘of the soil’; The cries of our Air – the health of which makes up our shared same breath; The cries of the Water that makes up 65% of our body; and that of our larger Earth body, and cannot be compromised for survival. Sacred ritual and ceremony starkly reminds us we are one breath, one earth, one water and our choices must reflect this sanctity for all species here and beyond the borders of Britain. Its structure helps us connect to ourselves, community, our true history, and to both the light and dark aspects of our humanity..
People fear what will happen in 2020. “Where there’s fear, there’s power.” Be brave. Be vulnerable. Come and reclaim our shared power and life-force.
Free event. Any donations to Sumac for room hire are welcome.
